Cheap Beach Vacation

The key to a great, cheap beach vacation is knowing where to go and maximizing every dollar once you’re there. Certain beaches are pricier than others. But if you know where to look, you can save on your vacation.

When you’re seeking an affordable beach vacation, booking an oceanfront room will cost more. You can save considerably by staying a few blocks or miles back or even a nearby town.

When it comes to airfare, the earlier you book, the happier your budget will be. The best time is somewhere between three and a half months to three weeks before your trip. If you travel on Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturday, they are  usually the cheapest days to fly.

Try to travel in the off season to avoid crowds and higher prices. It may mean some juggling in your calendar, but it will result in cheaper hotels, quieter beaches, and easier on your budget. Less noise, less traffic, more money in your pocket. That’s a win all around.

Food will be expensive if you are planning on eating at restaurants. The price of eating out is costly. If you go to the grocery store instead, you will save even more money. It’s not as much fun to make your own meals, but if you eat the majority of your meals at your place for the week, you’ll have extra money for excursions and entertainment.

There’s no harm in trying to secure a better deal. Call the hotel and ask if they can reduce the price. If you found an amazing Airbnb or Vrbo, do some searching. Sometimes the rental company has its own website where they’ll happily give you a better price.

Stress from debt can outweigh the relaxation you were seeking from your beach vacation. The goal is to lose your cares in the waves or atop sun-warmed sand. The beach vacation you’ve been postponing doesn’t have to be a distant dream. With strategic planning and a budget-friendly destination, you could be walking barefoot on warm sand sooner than you imagine.
